Notes on Using the QR Code of Rehabilitation Records (Intensive Reading for Employers and Helpers)

The Government announced on April 19 the arrangements for people who have been infected with COVID-19 (recovered persons) to download the "QR code for recovery records" under the "Vaccine Pass", and the "Vaccine Pass" vaccination requirements on April 30. The details of the implementation of the second phase are now entered.

 Rehabilitation patients need to download the QR code:

  • ID, month of discharge, or positive test result required.

  • The QR code is valid for 180 days from the date of recovery

  • Recovered persons entering the premises specified in the "Vaccination Pass" can present a QR code instead of a vaccination record.

 

If the recovered patients have been vaccinated, they can re-download the QR code through the “iAM Smart” or the latest version of “eHealth”  mobile applications, or obtain the latest version of the QR code from the Community Vaccination Center.

 

Recovered patients who have not yet received or have only received one dose of the vaccine must receive the required dose of vaccine within the validity period of the QR code, and then use the QR code containing the identity of the recovered person.

1. I have entered the relevant information online. Why am I still unable to download the Recovery Record QR Code?


Ans: Please ensure that you download the Recovery Record QR Code through the Electronic Vaccination and Testing Record System with the system address of https://www.evt.gov.hk/. Recovered persons may also choose to download the Recovery Record QR Code using the “iAM Smart” or “eHealth” mobile applications. 

 

2. :How should I use “iAM Smart” to update the Vaccination Record QR Code?


Ans: Recovered persons only need to login to “iAM Smart” on mobile devices, then choose and enter “COVID-19 Electronic Vaccination and Testing Record System”online services, and select electronic Vaccination Record. The Vaccination Record QR Code with their recovery status incorporated can then be downloaded. If you have not installed or registered to use “iAM Smart”, please refer to the “iAM Smart” thematic

website (https://www.iamsmart.gov.hk/en/) to download and register to use “iAM Smart”. 

 

3: How should I use “eHealth” to update the Vaccination


Ans: Recovered persons only need to login to “eHealth” on mobile devices, and check the relevant Vaccination Record. The Vaccination Record QR Code with their recovery status incorporated can then be downloaded. If you have not joined “eHealth”, please refer to the“eHealth” thematic website (https://www.ehealth.gov.hk/en/index.html) to join“eHealth”. 

 

4: The Recovery Record QR Code is only valid within 180 days from the date of recovery. How is the date of recovery defined?


Ans: The date of recovery refers to the date of discharge or 9 / 14 days after the date of positive test result (as applicable). Depending on the actual situation, the date of positive test result notification by DH may be different from the date of positive test result in the Recovery Record stored in the system.
